Bovine colostrum — already a darling of the gut-health supplement world — has officially made its way into your morning skincare routine. On October 20, 2026, skincare brand dubose, founded by former aesthetic injector Elle Dubose Moe, launched le lait, a first-of-its-kind milky toner powered by the nutrient-dense ingredient.

Bovine colostrum is the nutrient-rich first milk produced by cows after giving birth, known for its high concentration of antibodies, growth factors, and proteins. In le lait, the ingredient is combined with Modukine — a milk-derived active said to reduce skin inflammation — plus a calming peptide duo. Together, the formula is designed to calm visible redness, support the skin’s natural defenses, limit acne-causing bacteria, and prep skin for serums and moisturizers applied after cleansing.

The launch has been a long time coming. The product was originally set to debut in 2024 but was pulled by Moe just days before launch due to a manufacturing error. “Selling the imperfect product was never an option for me,” Moe told Parade. The highly anticipated toner met its launch day sales goals in just eight hours, signaling massive consumer appetite for innovative, science-led skincare solutions rooted in wellness crossover ingredients.
