Michelin Guide Reveals 2026 Key Hotels: Introducing 470 New Selections Across 79 Destinations
The esteemed Michelin Guide has proudly presented its 2026 Michelin Key hotel selection, the eagerly awaited hotel counterpart of its globally renowned restaurant Stars. Revealed on September 18, 2026, the worldwide update acknowledged 2,832 hotels across the globe, incorporating 470 fresh properties within 79 destinations and bestowing the sought-after distinction to 10 countries for the first time, including Rwanda, Mongolia, Armenia, Botswana, and Liechtenstein.
At the apex of the ranking, 18 hotels accomplished the elite Three Michelin Keys status for the first time this year, among them Soneva Secret in the Maldives and Borgo Santandrea on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. In total, 155 properties now hold Three Keys globally, symbolizing the most exceptional hotel experiences on earth.
American travelers have a lot to rejoice too: the U.S. witnessed 65 new Key additions and upgrades, spanning luxury resorts such as One&Only Moonlight Basin in Montana to distinctive retreats in Texas, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, and New York City. Concurrently, Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Costa Rica, earned elevation to Three Keys — the only new Three-Key property in the entire Americas this year.
