Anthropic Prepares for Record-Breaking IPO Filing with Near-$1 Trillion Valuation

Anthropic, the AI safety company based in San Francisco, is gearing up to file its IPO prospectus publicly by the end of August 2026. This move could set the stage for one of the most eagerly awaited stock market debuts in history.

The company confidentially submitted a draft S-1 registration statement to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on June 1, 2026. Following a series of investor meetings spearheaded by its CFO and a completed SEC review period, Bloomberg reports that Anthropic is now ready to make this filing public within the coming weeks.

The stakes are incredibly high. Anthropic secured a $65 billion Series H funding round in April 2026, which valued the company at a staggering $965 billion. Investors are reportedly aiming for an October 2026 Nasdaq listing at a potential $2 trillion valuation. This listing is being led by underwriters Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley. If successful, it would surpass SpaceX’s historic $1.77 trillion debut in June 2026, making it the largest IPO in stock market history.

Anthropic’s annualized revenue was reported at $47 billion as of May 2026. Investors project that this figure could reach $100–$120 billion by the end of the year. Founded in 2021 by siblings Dario and Daniela Amodei, Anthropic could become the first pure AI safety company to go public. The company has yet to officially confirm a share price, share count, or listing date.

It’s worth noting that CNBC reports the company’s IPO filing will list AI backlash as a risk factor. This is a rare and candid acknowledgment of the regulatory and reputational challenges that the AI industry currently faces.
