Estée Lauder’s Record Profit: Fragrances & Skincare Drive 18% Surge
On August 19, 2026, Estée Lauder Companies delivered a remarkable market performance. Shares surged approximately 18% in early trading, following the beauty giant’s forecast of an annual profit that surpassed Wall Street estimates and exceeded its own quarterly sales targets.
The New York-based cosmetics powerhouse, home to iconic brands such as Clinique, M·A·C, Le Labo, and Tom Ford Beauty, reported fourth-quarter net sales of $3.63 billion. This figure beat analyst estimates of $3.54 billion. The results were driven by resilient spending from affluent and younger consumers, particularly on trendy luxury fragrances and premium skincare.
Luxury fragrance brands Le Labo and Tom Ford alone contributed to a 10% increase in net sales during the quarter. Le Labo’s classic 50ml perfumes, priced at $250, benefited from expanded distribution.
CEO Stéphane de La Faverie’s turnaround strategy, aptly named “Beauty Reimagined,” seems to be paying off. The company has accelerated premium product launches, streamlined its supply chain, and increased investments in marketing and innovation. Estée Lauder now expects fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings per share to range from $3.10 to $3.35 — with a midpoint above analysts’ estimates. The company also confirmed its minority investment in luxury skincare brand 111Skin as part of its long-term growth strategy.
