The Legendary Hotel Danieli in Venice Reopens as a Four Seasons Property
Europe’s iconic Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel is once again open to guests. This historic Venetian palace, which first opened in the 19th century, has been meticulously restored over a period of three years. The hotel welcomed its first guests on July 30, 2026, and is set to have a grand reopening ceremony on August 26, 2026.
Located in three interconnected historic palaces on the Riva degli Schiavoni, the hotel offers stunning views of the Venetian Lagoon and is conveniently situated just a few steps from Piazza San Marco. The transformation was led by renowned French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, who incorporated traditional Venetian craftsmanship into the design, including handcrafted Murano glass chandeliers, bespoke Rubelli fabrics, and restored terrazzo floors. The hotel has initially opened with 120 rooms and suites, with plans to add an additional 56 accommodations by 2027.
The hotel is managed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in collaboration with Italian owner Gruppo Statuto. This marks the fourth Italian property for Four Seasons, joining their hotels in Milan, Florence, and Taormina. Guests can enjoy rooms with lagoon views, rooftop aperitivo at Bar Terrazza Danieli, and a Danieli Spa, which is scheduled to open later in 2026. The hotel’s historic guest list includes notable figures such as Charles Dickens, Coco Chanel, and George Clooney.
