Significant Increase in American Airlines Admirals Club Membership Fees
Frequent flyers, brace your wallets! American Airlines is set to dramatically increase the cost of its prestigious Admirals Club lounge membership. The new pricing structure will take effect on August 23, 2026. The standard annual membership fee will jump from a maximum of $850 to a staggering $1,400 for general AAdvantage members. This increase of up to 75% marks one of the most significant lounge price hikes in U.S. aviation history.
The full membership will continue to include access to nearly 50 Admirals Club locations and more than 60 partner lounges worldwide. Complimentary guest privileges for immediate family or up to two guests traveling on the same eligible flight are also included. Elite AAdvantage members will receive modest discounts, with Executive Platinum flyers paying $1,200 annually.
In a notable new addition, American Airlines is introducing a $750 single membership tier. This tier provides personal access to approximately 50 Admirals Club locations only, with no guest privileges or partner lounge access. Household memberships will be phased out entirely, though current enrollments remain valid through their term. American Airlines states that the higher prices will fund improved food and beverages, refreshed club spaces, better service, and new concepts such as Provisions by Admirals Club, a grab-and-go concept already launched in Charlotte. One-day passes will remain available at $79.
