New Report Discloses: Majority of Beauty Consumers Lack Aesthetic Plan

A groundbreaking industry report launched on August 4, 2026 by NewBeauty®, a subsidiary of MJH Life Sciences, uncovers a significant gap in the aesthetics market. While 93% of consumers are receptive to some form of aesthetic treatment, a mere 9.1% adhere to a long-term treatment plan with a provider.

The report, The State of Aesthetics: By the Numbers Summer 2026, is driven by NewBeauty’s exclusive BeautyEngine™ insights platform. It collates data from Q2 2026 surveys of the brand’s highly engaged, aesthetics-focused consumer community. The key findings are as follows:

  • 72.6% of respondents prioritize preventing future signs of aging as their top aesthetic goal.
  • Improving skin quality is a priority for 64.8% of respondents.
  • Skin tightening is a focus for 58.4% of respondents.
  • Neurotoxin injections top the list of near-term treatment plans at 67.3%.

The report also underscores the growing impact of GLP-1 weight-loss medications on beauty decisions. Almost half of the surveyed GLP-1 users have lost at least 20 pounds, with 42% listing loose or sagging skin as their primary body concern. Furthermore, AI, menopause care, and regenerative aesthetics are pinpointed as significant growth areas shaping the future of the industry.
