Piper Aircraft Commences Construction of Extensive Vero Beach Service Hub

Piper Aircraft, Inc. has unveiled plans for a substantial expansion of its esteemed Vero Beach, Florida headquarters. This expansion includes a new, cutting-edge, factory-supported service center set to significantly enhance its maintenance and customer support capabilities across the Americas. This exciting news was announced on July 20, 2026, at the inaugural day of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

The two-tier facility will encompass more than 33,000 square feet of indoor space, exclusively dedicated to maintenance activities, new and pre-owned aircraft deliveries, customer lounges, and administrative offices. Additionally, an extra 11,000 square feet of outdoor service area will be included, culminating in seven indoor aircraft bays and four outdoor bays. The center will function as a factory-supported independent service provider for Piper operators across the Eastern U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America.

The groundbreaking is scheduled for later in 2026, with the grand opening of the facility planned for Q4 2027. This timing aligns with Piper’s significant 90th anniversary milestone. The expansion is anticipated to generate at least 20 new jobs, encompassing A&P mechanics, technicians, and support staff roles. “As we approach 90 years of aviation history, this expansion reflects our unwavering commitment to our customers and our home in Vero Beach,” stated John Calcagno, President and CEO of Piper Aircraft.
