EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 Soars High with Over 700,000 Aviation Enthusiasts
The skies over Oshkosh, Wisconsin are alive with the hum of engines as EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 — the world’s largest aviation fly-in convention — takes off for its 73rd edition. From July 20–26, the Wittman Regional Airport will be a hub of activity, with an expected crowd of over 700,000 visitors and more than 10,000 aircraft, ranging from single-seat homebuilts to military jets and the iconic Goodyear Blimp “Wingfoot One.”
Today, Tuesday July 21, the afternoon is packed with an air show starting at 2:15 p.m. CT. Spectators will be treated to precision aerobatics, warbird displays, and parachute demonstrations. The spotlight will be on aviation technology at Boeing Plaza, with innovation displays from leading companies such as BETA Technologies, Bye Aerospace, Jetson, American Drone, and MagniX. Delta Air Lines is also set to make a grand entrance with a wide-body Airbus aircraft adorned in a special USA-themed livery, marking the America 250 celebration.
After a year’s hiatus, NASA is making a much-anticipated return to AirVenture. Administrator Jared Isaacman and several NASA aircraft are scheduled to make appearances. The event kicked off on Sunday with the swearing-in of new U.S. Air Force recruits and a concert by country music star Tyler Hubbard. In a historic first, Austria’s aerobatic team The Flying Bulls are crossing the Atlantic to make their public American debut at this year’s show.
