Get Ready for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026: The World’s Largest Aviation Celebration
The world is eagerly counting down to the largest aviation celebration. EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 is set to open its gates on July 20, running until July 26 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This 73rd edition, fondly referred to by the EAA as “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration,” promises to be one of the most thrilling in its history.
In the previous year, the event set an unprecedented attendance record, welcoming 704,000 visitors from 94 nations. This contributed an estimated $257 million to the regional economy. The expectations for AirVenture 2026 are high, with hopes to match or even surpass last year’s figures.
Aviation enthusiasts can look forward to an impressive lineup. This includes the first-ever U.S. public appearance of The Flying Bulls from Austria. Their restored P-38 Lightning and DC-6 are set to make a transatlantic crossing specifically for this event. The Royal Air Force Red Arrows aerobatic team will also be performing formation flying from July 24–26, as part of their 2026 U.S. tour to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. The daily air shows also feature the U.S. Army Golden Knights, the F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, and more.
Adding to the excitement, this year’s event coincides with the July 24 effective date of the FAA’s MOSAIC Phase 2 rule. This makes AirVenture 2026 a historic showcase for the next generation of light-sport aircraft. Country music star Tyler Hubbard is set to headline the opening night ceremonies on July 20, courtesy of the U.S. Air Force.
