Sephora Unveils Inaugural European Beauty Brand Incubation Prize
Global beauty retail titan Sephora, a subsidiary of luxury conglomerate LVMH, has proudly announced the launch of the first-ever Sephora Prize, a unique European beauty brand incubation competition. The application process commenced on June 9, 2026, and will run for just shy of four weeks, concluding on July 6, 2026.
The competition is open to burgeoning beauty brands across the European Economic Area, as well as those based in the UK, Turkey, Switzerland, Serbia, and Monaco. Brands operating in skincare, makeup, or fragrance sectors are all eligible to apply. The triumphant brand will be rewarded with a comprehensive three-year support package, comprising of:
- Dedicated R&D guidance
- Expert mentoring from Sephora’s seasoned team
- Extensive visibility across Sephora’s owned channels
- An exclusive European product launch promoted via Sephora’s flagship “The Next Big Thing” campaign
The victorious brand will be revealed at SEPHORiA Europe later in 2026 and will make its debut across Sephora’s European stores in 2027. Catherine Spindler, President of Sephora Europe and Middle East, portrayed Europe as “a very rich, creative and demanding market”. She acknowledged that emerging brands often encounter difficulties in scaling up, a challenge that this novel prize aims to tackle. Depending on the caliber of applications, second and third prizes may also be awarded.
