Introducing Oura Ring 5: The Smallest Smart Ring in the World
Health tech company Oura has officially launched the Oura Ring 5 — the world’s smallest smart ring. This marks a significant advancement in wearable wellness technology. The device started shipping on June 4, 2026, and has already created a stir in both the health and beauty communities with its discreet, jewelry-like design.
The Oura Ring 5 is a staggering 40% smaller than its predecessor, the Ring 4. It measures just 6.09mm wide and 2.28mm thick, making it comparable in feel to a standard wedding band. The ring is crafted from lightweight, non-allergenic titanium and is available in six premium finishes:
- Gold
- Deep Rose
- Stealth
- Brushed Silver
- Silver
- Black
Prices range from $399 to $499.
But the Oura Ring 5 is not just about looks. It features a completely redesigned sensing architecture with 12 signal pathways for best-in-class biometric accuracy. This delivers a pulse signal that is up to 100 times stronger than wrist-based wearables. Despite its smaller size, its battery lasts 6–9 days, outlasting its predecessor.
Alongside the hardware, powerful new software features have been launched. These include:
- Health Radar for continuous blood pressure and nighttime breathing monitoring
- GLP-1 Insights for users on weight-loss medications
- Live Activity Tracking for real-time workout metrics
An AI-enabled care partnership with Counsel Health will allow users in 43 U.S. states to consult licensed physicians directly through the Oura App. The company is also targeting near $2 billion in 2026 sales and has confidentially filed for an IPO.
