United Airlines Embarks on Extensive European Expansion, Starting April 30
United Airlines is set to significantly expand its summer 2026 flight schedule, launching new non-stop services to some of Europe’s most coveted destinations, starting today, April 30, 2026. This expansion introduces first-ever direct flights to Scotland and enhances services to Spain, Italy, Croatia, and Iceland.
The airline will now operate 210 daily flights between the United States and 36 European destinations. This marks a substantial leap in United’s commitment to connecting travelers with unique cultural destinations. The new routes include a direct service from Newark Liberty International Airport to Split, Croatia, thus opening access to the country’s breathtaking Adriatic coastline. Scotland, with its historic cities and dramatic landscapes, joins the network for the first time.
Moreover, the expansion extends to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with three weekly flights from Tokyo/Narita commencing on April 30. This is part of United’s strategy to serve regions experiencing a surge in tourism interest. These new services underscore United Airlines’ ongoing strategy to meet the increasing demand for travel to culturally rich destinations. The launch bolsters United’s ability to cater to a wide range of traveler interests—from stunning coastal cities to historic streets and majestic landscapes across Europe.
