Piper Aircraft Launches Advanced 7-Blade Propeller for M700 FURY
Piper Aircraft has unveiled a state-of-the-art 7-blade MT-Propeller, now available as a factory option for the M700 FURY turboprop single. This follows the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval on April 14, 2026. FAA certification is anticipated in the near future.
The introduction of the new composite propeller equips M700 FURY operators with significant performance enhancements. These include:
- Reduced takeoff distance
- Increased climb rate
- Quieter cabin environment
As per Piper officials, this upgrade not only boosts performance but also enhances cabin comfort and minimizes noise levels for passengers and surrounding communities.
“Integrating the 7-Blade MT-Propeller into the FURY platform underscores Piper’s commitment to continuous innovation and customer-driven enhancements,” said Marc Ouellet, Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing at Piper Aircraft. “This option provides operators with improved takeoff and climb performance while reducing noise levels for both passengers and communities.”
Constructed with advanced composite materials for aerodynamic efficiency, the 7-blade propeller offers pilots a refined and responsive flight profile. The M700 FURY, powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-52 engine producing 700 shaft horsepower, stands as one of the fastest and most powerful single-engine turboprops in its class. European customers can now order their M700 FURY equipped with the new propeller through their regional Piper dealers.
