Bombardier’s Global 8000: The World’s Fastest Business Jet Takes Flight

Bombardier has officially delivered the first Global 8000 business jet to its launch customer, marking a historic milestone in business aviation as the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde. The ultra-long-range jet achieves a maximum speed of Mach 0.95 and offers an unprecedented range of 8,000 nautical miles, enabling non-stop flights between distant city pairs such as Singapore to Los Angeles or London to Perth.

The Global 8000 received Transport Canada type certification in November 2025, with FAA and EASA certifications still pending but aligned with delivery requirements. The aircraft features the industry’s lowest cabin altitude at 2,691 feet when cruising at 41,000 feet, significantly reducing passenger fatigue on ultra-long flights.

“The Global 8000 is truly the pinnacle of aviation engineering today,” stated a Bombardier spokesperson.

The aircraft incorporates the company’s Pũr Air system and represents the only true four-zone business jet configuration available in the market. During testing earlier this year, the jet even achieved supersonic speeds, demonstrating its exceptional performance capabilities.

Key Features:
