Sheltair Aviation Unveils New $40M FBO at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport
Sheltair Aviation recently celebrated the grand opening of its state-of-the-art Fixed Base Operation (FBO) at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), marking a significant expansion to its network now spanning 17 locations nationwide. This $40 million investment is a noteworthy addition to Florida’s Gulf Coast aviation infrastructure.
The cutting-edge facility, sprawling over 24 acres, boasts a 10,705-square-foot terminal, two new hangars totaling 46,000 square feet, and over 9,000 square feet of office space. It also offers:
- Premium amenities such as private passenger and VIP lounges
- Crew rest facilities
- 24-hour access
- An EV charging station in line with sustainability initiatives
“Sheltair SRQ marks more than a milestone—it reflects our commitment to exceptional service,” stated Lisa Holland, president of Sheltair Aviation. The facility is strategically located just minutes from downtown Sarasota and Bradenton, offering convenient access to business districts and the stunning Gulf Coast beaches.
Future plans for the facility include the addition of more hangars and a 60,000-square-foot MRO facility.
