Carisa Janes Unveils ‘Outside In’: The New Standard in Premium Skincare-Makeup Hybrids
Hourglass Cosmetics founder, Carisa Janes, is causing a stir in the beauty industry with her latest venture, Outside In. This new premium beauty brand has made its debut with three groundbreaking skincare-makeup hybrid products.
Leading the brand’s launch is the Silk Serum Foundation ($64), available in an impressive range of 25 shades. This foundation boasts what Janes refers to as “self-setting” technology, promising superior long-wearing benefits. In line with the trending “clean girl” beauty philosophy, the foundation not only provides coverage but also offers skincare benefits, promoting healthy, radiant skin.
Accompanying the foundation is the versatile Floral Reserve Facial Oil ($72). This multi-purpose product can be mixed with the foundation, used as skincare, or even applied to hair and cuticles. The initial product lineup is rounded off with a specially designed brush ($52).
Starting Thursday, the brand will be available for direct-to-consumer purchase. A SoHo store is also in the pipeline, with plans for a spring 2026 opening. Janes has held the intellectual property for Outside In since before she sold Hourglass to Unilever in 2017, making this launch a highly anticipated return to entrepreneurship.
