Marriott Signs Le Méridien Resort in Rishikesh, India’s Spiritual Hub
Marriott International has signed a landmark agreement with Himalayan Bliss Spa & Resorts LLP to bring its prestigious Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts brand to Rishikesh, Uttarakhand—one of India’s most celebrated spiritual and wellness destinations.
The 120-room Le Méridien Rishikesh Resort & Spa is scheduled to open in Q4 2028. The planned resort will pair Le Méridien’s signature mid-century modern design with elements inspired by Rishikesh’s rich cultural heritage.
Planned facilities include:
- An all-day dining restaurant and lobby lounge
- Meeting and event spaces
- A full-service spa and swimming pool
- A fitness centre
- A kids’ club and activity centre
The resort will be located near iconic attractions, including Laxman Jhoola in Tapovan, The Beatles Ashram and Triveni Ghat, famous for its Ganga Aarti. It is approximately 20 kilometres from Jolly Grant Airport.
Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International, said Le Méridien’s contemporary design and immersive brand programmes would encourage travellers to explore the destination at a more relaxed pace.
The development is expected to create hundreds of direct jobs and further elevate Uttarakhand’s hospitality landscape.
