AI chip titan Nvidia is making a landmark investment in the Middle East, finalizing plans to build Israel’s largest-ever server farm at a total cost of approximately $1.5 billion. The facility will be located in the Mevo Carmel Science and Industry Park near Yokneam in northern Israel, according to Israeli business outlet Calcalist, with construction set to begin in 2027 and operations expected to open around 2031.

The massive complex will span 30,000 square meters (nearly 323,000 square feet) and carry an electricity demand of 64 megawatts — enough to power tens of thousands of homes. The facility will be fitted with Nvidia’s cutting-edge Blackwell processors and house a next-generation supercomputer, sitting adjacent to Nvidia’s existing Israel-1 supercomputer, already ranked among the world’s 50 most powerful.

Nvidia is in advanced negotiations with Israeli real estate firm Mega Or DC to lease the data center currently under construction. Once completed, it will become Nvidia’s largest laboratory center outside the United States and one of the largest AI computing campuses in the entire Middle East. Israel already serves as Nvidia’s second-biggest global R&D hub, employing over 5,000 people. CEO Jensen Huang has publicly declared Israel Nvidia’s “second home.” The project underscores the company’s booming financials: Nvidia reported $96.2 billion in revenue in Q2 FY2027, up 106% year-over-year.
