Nvidia’s $1.5B Investment: Israel’s Largest AI Server Farm
Nvidia, in its most audacious infrastructure venture yet beyond U.S. boundaries, is strategizing a $1.5 billion investment to establish Israel’s largest server farm. This project will be situated in the Mevo Carmel industrial zone near Yokneam. As reported by the Israeli tech publication, Calcalist, the GPU titan is on the verge of finalizing a lease contract with the real estate company, Mega Or. The proposed facility will span 30,000 square meters and consume approximately 64 megawatts of power, sufficient to electrify tens of thousands of residences.
The upcoming facility will be energized by Nvidia’s state-of-the-art Blackwell processors. It will also accommodate a supercomputer, thereby positioning Israel as Nvidia’s second-largest R&D hub outside the United States. The hub will employ over 5,000 personnel across the nation. The construction is projected to commence within 18 months following the deal’s conclusion. Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, has previously referred to Israel as the company’s “second home”. Concurrently, Nvidia is also planning to build a 90-dunam mega-campus in Kiryat Tivon, which is expected to accommodate more than 10,000 employees by 2031.
