The Florida Keys & Key West are preparing for an exhilarating fall season, teeming with a variety of festivals, increased airlift, and a surge in hotel revenues. These factors are making the 126-mile island chain one of the most sought-after domestic travel destinations of autumn 2026.

Headlining the fall calendar are events such as Taste the Keys, a month-long Upper Keys dining celebration featuring specially priced prix-fixe menus and chef-led events. There’s also REEF Fest in Key Largo for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts, and the iconic Fantasy Fest — a legendary 10-day costume extravaganza in Key West. The season is further enriched by the Key West Film Festival and the Tour de Keys charity cycling ride from Key Largo to Key West on November 21.

These events are bolstered by impressive tourism numbers. According to Tourism Economics, the 2026 forecast for Florida Keys room revenue is now a staggering $1.08 billion, marking an 8.1% increase over previous projections. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) has climbed 10% year-over-year to $217.48, while average daily rates have risen 6.6% to $290.13. Occupancy across the Keys reached 75% in June 2026. Additionally, a new “Keys Season” initiative from Visit Florida Keys & Key West is running through October 31, offering deals from participating lodging, dining, and watersports partners across the island chain.
