Major 30-Acre GA Development at Lincoln Airport Entrusted to High Flying Hangars
The Lincoln Airport Authority (KLNK) in Nebraska has chosen High Flying Hangars as its developer for a significant new general aviation infrastructure project. The selected company will build a 30-acre hangar campus at Lincoln Airport, adding up to 68 new aircraft hangars to meet rising demand from the region’s growing pilot and aircraft-owner community.
The announcement, reported on September 10, 2026, by General Aviation News, reflects a nationwide trend of airports struggling to keep pace with surging demand for aircraft storage. The project is expected to significantly expand capacity at KLNK, one of Nebraska’s busiest general aviation airports.
High Flying Hangars has rapidly expanded its national footprint, with separate hangar developments in Nebraska and Wisconsin now extending the company’s presence across major U.S. general aviation airports. The Lincoln project follows the company’s recent groundbreaking at Frederick Municipal Airport (KFDK) in Maryland in June 2026.
