New Leadership at Textron Aviation: Brian Rohloff Steps in as President & CEO

General aviation’s leading manufacturer, Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT), is set to welcome a new leader. The company has officially announced the appointment of Brian Rohloff as the President and CEO of its Textron Aviation segment. The change in leadership will be effective from August 31, 2026. Rohloff will be succeeding Ron Draper, who is retiring after a commendable tenure of over 27 years with Textron, including eight years at the helm of Textron Aviation.

With a 29-year-long career at Textron Aviation, Rohloff is well-acquainted with the company’s operations. His experience spans across various departments including manufacturing, quality, sales, and most recently, he served as the Senior Vice President of Customer Support. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the company’s global support operations. A proud alumnus of Wichita State University, Rohloff has also previously held the position of Senior Product Director for the iconic Citation XLS+ and Citation X jets.

“Brian is a proven leader who brings a deep understanding of our business, our products, our customers and our industry,” said Lisa Atherton, President and CEO of Textron Inc. To ensure a smooth transition, Draper will continue to serve the company as a senior advisor till the end of 2026. Rohloff’s immediate challenges include overseeing the certification of the highly anticipated Beechcraft Denali turboprop and three next-generation Citation light jets. This comes at a time when Textron is undergoing a broader corporate restructuring into a pure-play aerospace and defense company.
