Beckham’s Wellness Brand IM8 Secures $1 Billion in Growth Funding
David Beckham’s rapidly expanding wellness supplement brand, IM8, has secured a monumental $1 billion in growth financing from venture capital titan General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund (CVF). This represents one of the largest non-dilutive capital commitments ever made to a consumer wellness business.
Launched in November 2024, IM8 was co-founded by soccer legend David Beckham and Prenetics CEO Danny Yeung. The brand has skyrocketed in popularity, scaling from zero to over $200 million in annualized run-rate revenue within its first 19 months of operation. June 2026 was a record-breaking month, generating approximately $17 million in monthly revenue. The brand now operates across 43 countries.
Unlike a traditional equity investment, the deal with General Catalyst funds 70% of IM8’s marketing spend, receiving a capped share of income tied to acquired customers. This means Beckham and Yeung avoid diluting their ownership stake. The capital will be deployed across digital performance marketing, offline media, and celebrity athlete partnerships. The current partnerships include:
- Tennis star Aryna Sabalenka
- NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo
- F1 driver Ollie Bearman
IM8’s flagship products, Daily Ultimate Essentials (a 90-ingredient powdered multivitamin drink) and Daily Ultimate Longevity, have collectively sold over 50 million servings. The brand aims to surpass $400 million in full-year revenue by 2027.
