Revolution Beauty’s Remarkable Recovery: A Triumph in H2 Profits
UK mass-market beauty giant Revolution Beauty (AIM: REVB) has made a stunning comeback. The brand, which was on the brink of collapse just a few years ago, has declared its turnaround strategy a success after returning to profitability in the second half of its 2026 financial year.
The London-listed company reported full-year revenues of £102.1 million for the period ended 28 February 2026. This is a drop of 28.4% from £142.6 million the previous year. However, the headline numbers hide a dramatic H2 rebound. Adjusted EBITDA swung from a £12.5 million loss in H1 to a £4.3 million profit in H2. Gross margins also saw a sharp improvement, from 32.2% to 41.4%. Through cuts to operating, marketing, and administrative overheads, the company achieved annualized cost savings of £9.4 million.
The credit for this recovery goes largely to co-founders Tom Allsworth and Adam Minto. They returned to lead the business in August 2025 after a period of boardroom instability and a three-year Financial Conduct Authority investigation. The investigation was ultimately closed without action in June 2026.
Looking ahead, Revolution Beauty has secured a new licensing partnership with Debenhams Group. Debenhams, which owns more than a quarter of the company’s shares, will work with Revolution Beauty to develop fragrance and gifting products. The first collections are expected to be released before Christmas. The management is targeting full-year revenue growth and a return to profitable cash generation for FY27. Q1 FY27 e-commerce sales have already surged 26%, largely driven by TikTok Shop.
