AviatorPro and Liberty University Collaborate to Launch Innovative Aviation Maintenance Platform
AviatorPro and Liberty University have joined forces to create a state-of-the-art FAA Part 147 aviation maintenance training platform. This initiative aims to revolutionize the education and preparation of the next generation of aircraft maintenance technicians. Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, will be the inaugural customer for this new digital platform.
The partnership combines the resources of Liberty University’s School of Aeronautics, an FAA-authorized Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School, with AviatorPro’s sophisticated learning management system. The platform will feature micro-learning modules, high-fidelity 3D visualizations of aircraft systems, data analytics, and digital courseware. These elements are designed to supersede outdated instructional methods that have been outpaced by other sectors within the aviation industry.
“Aircraft maintenance professionals are the backbone of aviation safety. However, many training programs continue to utilize educational methods that have remained stagnant over the past several decades,” stated Luke Ormsby, President of AviatorPro. The need for modernization is highlighted by data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, which projects 13,100 annual job openings for aircraft and avionics equipment mechanics and technicians across the country. The FAA Part 147 platform is expected to be available in early 2027.
