Piper Aircraft to Establish New State-of-the-Art Service Center in Florida by 2026
Piper Aircraft has unveiled plans for a significant expansion of its 30-acre manufacturing campus in Vero Beach, Florida. The new addition will be a state-of-the-art, factory-supported service center, designed to cater to general aviation customers across the Eastern United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America.
The two-story facility will encompass over 33,000 square feet of indoor space, dedicated to maintenance activities, new and pre-owned aircraft deliveries, customer lounges, and administrative offices. An additional 11,000 square feet of outdoor service area will complement the indoor space. The center will feature seven indoor aircraft bays and four outdoor bays. The groundbreaking ceremony is slated for late 2026, with the facility’s inauguration targeted for Q4 2027 — aligning with Piper’s 90th anniversary.
The project is expected to generate at least 20 new jobs, including positions for A&P mechanics, technicians, and support staff. This will further solidify Piper’s standing as the largest private employer in Indian River County. The expansion aims to support the company’s rapidly expanding M-Class fleet.
“As we approach 90 years of aviation history, this expansion reflects our unwavering commitment to our customers and our home in Vero Beach,” stated John Calcagno, President and CEO of Piper Aircraft.
