Thrust Flight Introduces New Campus in Texas to Accelerate Pilot Careers

Aspiring aviators in the Dallas–Fort Worth area now have a powerful new option for launching their flight careers. Thrust Flight, one of the United States’ leading aviation training providers, has opened a new campus at Spinks Airport (KFWS) in Fort Worth, Texas. This expansion provides greater access to its nationally recognized Zero Time to Airline® pilot training program.

The new facility serves students from Fort Worth, Burleson, Mansfield, and surrounding communities. Students train in modern Piper Archer TX aircraft equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics, as well as Piper Seminole twins for multi-engine instruction. The campus also offers real-world airspace experience, including Class D tower operations and proximity to Class B and C airspace at DFW International and Fort Worth Meacham airports.

A standout feature of the Spinks location is its Examining Authority designation, which allows students to complete FAA checkrides on-site — potentially cutting training time by up to 18 weeks. The campus also houses the Thrust Institute of Maintenance, a 10-month FAA-approved Aircraft Mechanic program that takes students from zero experience to licensed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) technicians.

Thrust Flight maintains airline partnerships with:

  • SkyWest
  • Envoy Air
  • Republic Airways
  • Spirit
  • Air Wisconsin
  • Avelo Airlines

These partnerships provide graduates with a direct pathway into the airline workforce. “Students in the Fort Worth area have been asking for a location closer to home, and now we can finally give it to them,” said CEO Patrick Arnzen.
