Textron Aviation Unveils Expansive Service Facility in Melbourne

On May 5, 2026, Textron Aviation inaugurated its state-of-the-art service facility at Essendon Fields Airport in Melbourne. This significant expansion aims to enhance factory-direct support for Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker customers throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

The new facility has more than doubled the size of Textron Aviation’s previous operation at Essendon Fields, now spanning over 35,000 square feet (3,343 square meters). It is designed to cater to the needs of over 1,400 Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker aircraft operating across the Asia-Pacific region.

Developed in response to customer feedback, the facility boasts expanded space for aircraft servicing to minimize downtime, an on-site Textron Aviation parts stockroom for improved parts availability, and enhanced customer amenities.

“We’ve supported customers in Australia for decades, and we continue to invest where our customers tell us they need more capacity and faster access to factory direct expertise,” said Brian Rohloff, senior vice president of Global Customer Support at Textron Aviation.

This facility is a testament to Textron Aviation’s ongoing commitment to strengthen regional support across Australia. It complements the company’s recent facility expansions and upgrades in Perth. A grand opening event is slated for August 2026.
