Piper FURY Receives Performance Upgrade with 7-Blade Propeller

On May 13, 2026, MT-Propeller announced its receipt of the EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval. This approval permits the installation of their advanced “Silent 7” seven-blade propeller on the Piper M700 FURY turboprop aircraft. The propeller has been approved for the Piper PA46-600TP, powered by Pratt & Whitney PT6A-42A, and the PT6A-52 engines in the PA-46-701TP. FAA STC approval is currently in progress.

The innovative composite propeller delivers notable performance improvements. These include a 10% reduction in takeoff distance, higher climb rates, and significantly reduced noise levels both inside and outside the aircraft. Crafted with advanced composite materials and aerodynamic efficiency, the seven-blade design enhances both performance and cabin comfort. It also offers pilots a more refined and responsive flight profile.

MT-Propeller Vice President, Martin Albrecht, states that the natural composite blades provide superior vibration damping for almost vibration-free operation. They also feature bonded nickel leading edges for the best erosion protection. The blades have no life limitation and are repairable in case of foreign object damage. European customers can now order the upgrade through Piper’s dealer network. U.S. availability is expected once FAA certification is completed.
