Cirrus TRAC10: A New Era in Flight Training with Global Fleet Sales

Cirrus Aircraft has officially opened fleet program orders for its brand-new TRAC10 training aircraft. This clean-sheet design, purpose-built for professional flight schools, has sparked significant interest in the aviation industry. The AInonline has highlighted the aircraft’s potential role in modernizing pilot training fleets.

The TRAC10 is powered by a 160-horsepower turbocharged Rotax 916 iSc FADEC engine. It features a spacious three-seat interior, the widest in its class, a full Garmin flight deck, and Cirrus’s signature Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). The aircraft is priced from $499,900. With a fuel consumption as low as 5.9 gallons per hour at 65% cruise power, and compatibility with multiple fuel types including unleaded 91/94 and select Mogas blends, the TRAC10 is designed to dramatically reduce operating costs for flight academies.

More than 100 TRAC10 aircraft have already been ordered by 13 professional flight schools worldwide. U.S. deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027, with international deliveries following in 2028. All aircraft will be manufactured at Cirrus headquarters in Duluth, Minnesota. Industry analysts have noted that the TRAC10 represents one of the most significant trainer launches in recent years, particularly for a sector expecting demand for over 130,000 new North American pilots in the next decade.
