Archer Aviation’s ‘No Roads’ eVTOL Tour Takes Flight, Heading for LA28 Games

Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR) continues to make waves with its high-profile ‘No Roads’ flight tour. The tour showcases the prowess of the Midnight electric air taxi, setting the stage for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games where Archer will be the Official Air Taxi Provider.

The tour, meticulously coordinated with the FAA, kicked off in Northern California. Piloted flights traversed cities such as Salinas, Hollister, Monterey, San Jose, Oakland, and San Francisco. The Midnight eVTOL completed each leg in a swift 9–12 minutes, a journey that would take 35–40 minutes or more by car, reaching speeds of up to 125 mph at a cruise altitude of 3,550 feet. The tour is now set to extend its reach to Southern California, Texas, and Florida, aligning with the White House’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP).

Archer’s Midnight aircraft stands out with its zero operating emissions and low noise levels. The company is set to roll out electric aircraft charging infrastructure across multiple states through its ACES program, a joint venture with BETA Technologies and Macquarie Capital. With over 70 test flights recorded in August 2026 alone, Archer is on a fast track to full commercial readiness, with early operations planned in the United Arab Emirates.
