Kiehl’s Unveils Spectacular 175th-Anniversary Flagship Store on London’s Carnaby Street

L’Oréal-owned skincare behemoth, Kiehl’s, has proudly inaugurated its latest European flagship store at 43 Carnaby Street, London. This grand opening marks a significant milestone as the brand commemorates its 175th anniversary. Spanning 1,300 sq ft, this multi-storey experiential space now stands as the brand’s second standalone boutique in London’s West End and its most technologically advanced store in Europe.

The flagship store is brimming with cutting-edge in-store features, meticulously designed to merge the digital and physical retail experiences. Customers can take advantage of the Derma Reader skin analysis technology, a bespoke Brew Bar that aligns skincare ingredients with individual moods and skin concerns, a custom screen printing station, and a photo booth. The most striking feature is the complete transformation of the entire upper floor into Kiehl’s first European content creation studio— a dedicated space for creators, filming, and community events.

“Carnaby Street is a legendary retail destination, and it is rapidly evolving into a key epicentre for beauty in London,” stated Niki Lo, General Manager for Kiehl’s UK.

The inauguration expands Kiehl’s UK boutique network to 18 stores, with the UK being one of the brand’s three largest global markets as per parent company L’Oréal.

The Carnaby Street launch closely follows Sephora’s debut at the same iconic London street, further establishing the location as a must-visit hub for beauty aficionados.
