Revolutionary $499 Body Scan Clinic by Spotify Founder Debuts in SoHo, NYC

Swedish health-tech startup Neko Health, spearheaded by Spotify’s Daniel Ek and CEO Hjalmar Nilsonne, has launched its first U.S. clinic. The grand opening took place on September 24, 2026, at 300 Lafayette Street in SoHo, Manhattan, marking the advent of a new era in affordable preventive health scanning for American consumers.

The clinic provides a 60-minute, radiation-free, and MRI-free body scan at a price of $499. This innovative service utilizes proprietary technology, including blood biomarker analysis, ECG, and body composition measurements. Patients receive their results on-site within minutes, which is then followed by a consultation with a medical professional. The comprehensive scan can detect conditions such as melanoma, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and irregular heart rhythms.

Over 25,000 New Yorkers had already joined a pre-launch waitlist, highlighting the growing demand for proactive, affordable health insights. Traditional full-body diagnostic scans from competitors like Prenuvo or Ezra typically cost between $1,000 and $5,000 out of pocket, making Neko’s price point a significant disruptor in the market.

The New York opening comes on the heels of a landmark $700 million Series C funding round secured in July 2026. High-profile investors backing the venture include Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Chan, Claudia Schiffer, and Maria Sharapova. The company currently operates locations in Stockholm, London, and Manchester.
