Travel Advisors Anticipate a Stellar Sales Climax for 2026

A significant industry survey has reaffirmed the sentiment prevalent in the travel trade: 2026 is set to be a landmark year for travel advisors. The survey, unveiled at the Travel Market conference held from September 24–27 in San Antonio, Texas, included advisors associated with the TRAVELSAVERS and NEST networks across the U.S. and Canada. The findings suggest that nearly two-thirds of advisors anticipate their sales to outperform those of 2025, with a mere 3% predicting a substantial decline.

The data indicates robust momentum in almost all travel sectors. Sales within the network for 2026 have already surpassed the previous year, with a surge in cruise sales by 14%, river cruise sales by 14%, FIT land sales by 7%, guided tours by 8%, and hotel room nights by 8%. Luxury travelers are splurging even more, with river cruise and cruise bookings for premium clients witnessing a remarkable increase of 31%.

The survey also sheds light on changing booking trends. The most frequently cited booking window is now six to twelve months prior to departure, as reported by 38% of advisors. Approximately 10% state that the conventional shoulder season has effectively vanished as travelers distribute their trips throughout the year. Clients are also progressively investing in travel insurance, and advisors note that personalized, meaningful experiences continue to be the top priority for contemporary travelers. TRAVELSAVERS U.S. currently boasts 1,600 agencies within its network, having welcomed five new leisure-focused agencies in 2026, representing $78.9 million in preferred sales.
