easyJet Announces Major Expansion with 18 New UK Routes for Summer 2027
Budget airline easyJet is set to make a significant impact on the European leisure market with a major network expansion for Summer 2027. The airline has put 18 brand-new routes on sale from 10 UK airports, including its inaugural flights from the UK to Girona, Spain.
The new routes cover a wide range of destinations across Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Montenegro, and Bulgaria. Fares start from an affordable £35.48 one-way. From March 28, 2027, Girona — the gateway to Catalonia’s stunning Costa Brava coastline — will be served from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and from London Gatwick starting June 3, 2027. Notably, easyJet will be the only airline offering direct services on 10 of the 18 new routes.
Scotland also benefits greatly from this expansion, with six new routes from Aberdeen and Edinburgh airports. These routes will connect Scottish travelers to exciting destinations such as Rome, Hamburg, Bilbao, Tivat, and more. Package holidays, including flights and hotels, are available on all routes through easyJet holidays.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, stated that the expansion reflects the airline’s commitment to providing customers with “more choice from their local airport.” All seats are now available to book at easyjet.com and via the mobile app.
