OLAPLEX Introduces Shape Set™ Hairspray: A Groundbreaking Styling Product with Bond-Repair Technology
Renowned hair-care brand OLAPLEX has ventured into the styling realm with the introduction of Shape Set™ Hairspray — marking its debut in performance styling products. The innovative formula, powered by the brand’s novel Bond Set Technology™, employs an encapsulated peptide to mend broken disulfide bonds, thereby fortifying hair from within while ensuring the style stays intact.
The hairspray has proven its efficacy in consumer testing, offering up to 96 hours of hold and frizz control. It also demonstrated a significant 60% reduction in hair breakage after just a single application, leaving 97% of participants with soft, flexible hair, devoid of stiffness. Additionally, it offers heat protection up to 450°F (232°C), making it an indispensable tool for daily hair care routines.
Accompanying the launch is the brand’s “Reshape the Rules” campaign, featuring comedian and actress Chloe Fineman as Olaplex’s Chief Hair Officer. This introduction follows closely on the heels of Henkel’s $1.4 billion acquisition of Olaplex, a brand that recorded approximately $430 million in sales last year. The Shape Set™ Hairspray is now available at Sephora in the US and Space NK in the UK, with prices starting from £15/$16. To commemorate the launch, OLAPLEX is hosting a pop-up event at Flatiron Plaza in New York City on September 12–13, 2026.
