Nvidia’s $1.5B Venture: The Largest Israeli Server Farm
Tel Aviv — September 7, 2026: Nvidia, currently the world’s most valuable publicly traded company with a market cap of approximately $4.3 trillion, is on the verge of announcing the establishment of the largest server farm in Israeli history. This move highlights the chip giant’s aggressive global AI infrastructure expansion.
As reported by Israeli business outlet Calcalist, Nvidia is in the final stages of sealing a deal with real estate firm Mega Or DC. The deal involves leasing a data center currently under construction in the Mevo Carmel industrial zone near Yokneam, in northern Israel. The total project investment, which combines infrastructure costs and Nvidia’s separate investment in computing hardware (including its next-generation Blackwell processors), is expected to reach approximately $1.5 billion (NIS 4.84 billion).
The new facility will cover an area of roughly 30,000 square meters and consume around 64 megawatts of electricity. This is more than double the power usage of Nvidia’s nearby Israel-1 supercomputing facility. Once completed, the Mevo Carmel site is expected to become Nvidia’s largest laboratory and supercomputing center outside the United States and one of the largest data centers in the Middle East. The new supercomputer planned for the site will surpass Israel-1, which currently ranks among the world’s top 50 supercomputers.
With this investment, Israel is further solidified as Nvidia’s second-largest R&D hub outside the US. The company already employs more than 5,000 people in the country. CEO Jensen Huang has publicly stated that Israel has become Nvidia’s “second home.”
