Dyson’s Bold Foray into Oral Care: The AI-Powered CameraJet Toothbrush
Dyson, the renowned British tech giant, is stepping into the oral care arena with the launch of the CameraJet. This revolutionary $499 electric toothbrush is a game-changer, merging brushing, flossing, and mouth-rinsing into one single device. The CameraJet, which was unveiled in Paris on September 1, 2026, is the culmination of six years of intensive R&D, involving 661 engineers and 38 filed patents.
At the core of this innovation lies a 100,000-pixel macro-lens camera, powered by Dyson’s proprietary Gap Optical Targeting™ technology. As users brush, the camera identifies real-time gaps between teeth and triggers a precision, cone-shaped jet of mouthwash exactly where plaque accumulates. This eliminates the need for flossing. External testing reveals that the device removes up to 69% more plaque than leading premium electric toothbrushes in hard-to-reach areas.
The comprehensive Dyson Dental System includes the CameraJet toothbrush, a docking station for recharging and refilling the device in three seconds, a travel case, Dyson Toothpaste, and Dyson Mouthrinse. The device, available in Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink, is currently open for pre-orders and will start shipping on September 8, 2026.
