The highly anticipated August 2026 issue of Travel + Leisure is now available on newsstands. This issue brings the full results of the magazine’s esteemed 2026 World’s Best Awards, an annual ranking of the world’s top travel destinations, hotels, airlines, and more.
With insights from more than 207,000 readers, this year’s rankings feature a captivating blend of emerging newcomers and timeless favorites. The awards have been distributed as follows:
- Koh Samui, Thailand has won the title of Best Island in the World for the first time.
- EVA Air has ascended to the top spot among international airlines.
- In the hotel category, Patina Osaka, Japan has been named Best Hotel in the World.
