Google Unveils Pixel 11: Introducing the Stunning ‘Pixel Glow’ Feature, Pre-Orders Begin August 12
Google has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Pixel 11 smartphone lineup. A teaser video released on the Google Store homepage confirms both the phone’s name and one of its most exciting features: the Pixel Glow. This short clip provides the most detailed official glimpse yet at the vibrant circular LED light embedded in the camera bar on the rear of the device, sparking a flurry of online conversation.
Contrary to speculation about a light strip encircling the camera module, the Pixel Glow is a compact circular LED located where the flashlight typically resides. It can display a full spectrum of colors. A leaked feature description reveals that Pixel Glow “uses subtle light and color on the back of your device to inform you of important activity when it’s face down.” Essentially, it’s a reimagined, full-color smart notification light for 2026. The Made by Google event on August 12 in New York City is set to unveil the full capabilities of this feature, alongside the Gemini Intelligence AI integration across the Pixel 11 series.
Google has confirmed that pre-orders for the Pixel 11 lineup will commence on August 12, coinciding with the launch event. The lineup is expected to include the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The Pro models are rumored to feature a new 2nm Tensor G6 chip, a 50MP main sensor, and support for wired charging up to 45W. U.S. residents who subscribe to Google Store marketing emails before August 7 will receive a special promo code on August 11.
