Revolutionizing Nail Care: 10Beauty Secures $23.5M for US Rollout of Robotic Manicures
The future of nail care is robotic, and it’s rolling out to a retail store near you. Boston-based startup 10Beauty has secured a whopping $23.5 million in new funding. The investment, led by venture capital firm Story Ventures, brings its total capital raised to nearly $70 million. This funding will fuel an ambitious expansion of the company’s autonomous manicure machines across the United States.
10Beauty’s flagship product, a five-step robotic manicure machine, is already operational at an Ulta Beauty location in Boston. This machine delivers a complete manicure in just 25 to 45 minutes for approximately $30 per session. The company has agreements in place to deploy its first 850 machines across various platforms. These include beauty retail, department stores, hotels, fitness centres, nail salons, and hair salons. Key partners in this venture include Ulta Beauty and Nordstrom. The city of Chicago is next in line for expansion.
The pod-based system includes everything needed for a single service. This includes polish-removal sponges, cuticle serum, brushes, nail colours, and top coat, all delivered without human intervention. Notably, celebrity entrepreneur Victoria Beckham is among the brand’s previous investors.
“Imagine if one day changing your nails was as easy as a cup of coffee,” said co-CEO Alexander Shashou. The new funding will support technology development, operational readiness, and the full rollout to launch partners.
