NetJets Welcomes First Trio of Cessna Citation Ascend Business Jets
Textron Aviation has reached a significant milestone with the delivery of the first three Cessna Citation Ascend midsize business jets to NetJets, the world’s largest private jet operator. This marks the official entry into service of this next-generation aircraft.
NetJets, boasting the world’s most diverse private jet fleet, is the pioneering private fleet operator to take delivery and initiate operations with the Citation Ascend on May 5, 2026. This aircraft symbolizes the next phase in midsize jet travel, building on the success of the Citation Latitude and Citation Longitude models.
The Citation Ascend features a spacious cabin with a flat floor design providing generous legroom, seating for up to 12 passengers, and advanced acoustic treatment that reduces cabin noise to highway driving levels. The aircraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545D engines, delivering a four-passenger range of 1,940 nautical miles with improved fuel efficiency.
The cockpit is equipped with Garmin G5000 technology featuring three 14-inch high-resolution displays, synthetic vision technology, and autothrottle capabilities that reduce pilot workload. Additional deliveries to NetJets are expected in the coming months as part of a 2023 agreement that provides options for up to 1,500 aircraft from Textron over 15 years.
