ForeFlight Ventures into Aviation Insurance with Old Republic Aerospace Partnership

Jeppesen ForeFlight has made its debut in the aviation insurance market with the introduction of ForeFlight Insurance Agency. This venture is in collaboration with Old Republic Aerospace to provide comprehensive coverage solutions for pilots and aircraft owners.

The announcement was made on April 24, 2026. Initially, the new service offers non-owned aircraft insurance for aircraft renters and Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs). There are plans to broaden the scope to include aircraft owner’s insurance from multiple insurers by summer 2026. This initiative marks a significant expansion of ForeFlight’s service offerings, which are already popular for flight planning and navigation software.

With over 40 years of experience in aviation insurance, Old Republic Aerospace brings its expertise in hull and liability coverage, ground operation liability, and various other aviation-related insurance products to the partnership. The company boasts an A+ (Superior) rating by A.M. Best, ensuring financial stability for this new venture.

The goal of ForeFlight Insurance Agency is to simplify the insurance purchasing process for general aviation pilots. This is achieved by integrating insurance services with the company’s existing digital aviation solutions. Aircraft renters and flight instructors can now conveniently access insurance products directly through ForeFlight’s platform. The third-quarter expansion is expected to bring comprehensive coverage options for aircraft owners across various carrier options.
