Google Cloud Pledges $750M to Boost AI Development in Partner Network
On April 22, 2026, at the Cloud Next ’26 conference in Las Vegas, Google Cloud unveiled a $750 million fund. This initiative is aimed at accelerating the adoption of agentic AI across its expansive global partner ecosystem, which comprises over 120,000 members.
The fund is set to bolster global consulting firms, systems integrators, software partners, and channel partners. Notable beneficiaries include Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, McKinsey, and TCS. The resources will be allocated towards AI value assessments, Gemini proofs-of-concept, agentic AI prototyping and deployment, upskilling programs, and teams of Google forward-deployed engineers. These engineers will work hand-in-hand with partners to overcome technical challenges.
Kevin Ichhpurani, president of Google Cloud’s Global Partner Ecosystem, underscored the importance of partners as crucial conduits for distributing AI technologies at an enterprise scale. The fund’s primary objective is to expedite the implementation of AI solutions, with a keen focus on enterprise digital transformation.
A select group of consulting firms, including Accenture, Bain, BCG, and McKinsey, will be granted early access to Gemini models from Google’s DeepMind lab. This will enable them to trial AI tools and provide invaluable feedback prior to their public launch. Google Cloud’s partner ecosystem currently boasts over 330,000 experts trained in implementing Google AI for customers, positioning the company to compete fiercely in the enterprise AI market.
