A Record-Breaking Year: Mecca Announces $1.43B Revenue

Australian beauty retail titan, Mecca, has announced a record-breaking financial year, with parent company RTCH revealing a revenue of $1.43 billion and a profit of $125.9 million for the year ending December 31, 2025.

This remarkable achievement signifies a growth from the previous year’s revenue of $1.36 billion and profit of $111.1 million, solidifying Mecca’s standing as Australia’s leading cosmetics retailer, surpassing competitor Sephora.

Owned entirely by founder Jo Horgan and her husband Peter Wetenhall, the cosmetics company celebrated the success of its flagship Bourke Street store in Melbourne, which opened its doors in August 2025. A company spokesperson disclosed that an average of 50,000 customers visit the flagship location each week.

“2025 was a landmark year for the retailer,” a Mecca spokesperson expressed, highlighting that the results prove people continue to appreciate connection, expertise, and the joy of discovering beauty in person. The retailer introduced over 40 new brands to its portfolio, including Victoria Beckham Beauty, and launched Hailey Bieber’s Rhode brand in February, generating a reported $11 million in sales.
