Unveiling Saba’s Premier Luxury Boutique Hotel: A New Jewel in the Caribbean

The Caribbean paradise of Saba is celebrating a significant milestone in its tourism sector with the opening of its first luxury boutique hotel. The newly renovated Scenery Hotel has opened its doors to guests, marking a new era of luxury accommodation on this tiny Dutch Caribbean island.

Formerly known as Scouts Place, the property has undergone a comprehensive transformation by the Pension Fund Caribbean Netherlands (PCN). The renovation has more than doubled the number of rooms, introduced several freestanding cottages, and constructed an entirely new reception and restaurant area. This new addition is nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Scenery in Windwardside.

The hotel boasts 30 well-appointed rooms and suites, each offering breathtaking views of the island and the ocean. Guests can indulge in the opulence of the Grand Scenery Lounge, relax by the infinity-edge pool with a garden lounge, and enjoy accommodations starting at $275 per night. The Scenery Hotel emphasizes a laid-back luxury experience with wellness offerings such as massage, yoga, and spa rituals. Complimentary breakfasts featuring locally sourced tropical ingredients add to the allure of this Caribbean gem.

The redevelopment of the Scenery Hotel represents a substantial increase in Saba’s available hotel capacity. This is seen as an important boost for the island’s tourism sector. The hotel has begun a soft-opening phase, with an official opening ceremony planned for a later date.
