Asia-Pacific Business Travelers Embrace ‘Bleisure’ Trips, Agoda Reports
Digital travel platform Agoda unveiled its 2026 Travel Outlook Report today, highlighting a significant shift in corporate travel trends. The report shows that business travelers across Asia-Pacific are increasingly merging work with leisure. A remarkable 76% of surveyed business travelers plan to integrate business trips with personal leisure activities in 2026.
The ‘bleisure’ travel trend is particularly prominent in the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Here, over 85% of business travelers expressed a desire to prolong their stays for leisure activities. Some markets are witnessing interest levels surpassing 90%, indicating what the report terms as “a fundamental transformation in how professionals approach corporate travel.”
The research, conducted in October 2025, compiled responses from 3,353 travelers across nine key Asia-Pacific markets. These include India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Business travel remains a priority for 2026, with Indonesia leading at 27%, followed by the Philippines at 20% and Vietnam at 19%.
Agoda’s platform boasts over 6 million holiday properties, more than 130,000 flight routes, and over 300,000 activities. All these can be combined in a single booking, enabling travelers to effortlessly plan both business and leisure segments of their trips.
