Unveiling MSC Cruises’ Alaska Itinerary for 2026 Debut

MSC Cruises has unveiled an exciting array of details for its inaugural Alaska cruise season, marking the cruise line’s maiden voyage to the Last Frontier. The European cruise behemoth will be deploying MSC Poesia from Seattle, commencing its seven-night roundtrip voyages on May 11, 2026, and continuing through September.

The newly refurbished MSC Poesia will be making stops at Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, and Juneau in Alaska, as well as Victoria, British Columbia. A standout feature of each journey will be the scenic cruise through the awe-inspiring Tracy Arm Fjord, home to the majestic Sawyer Glaciers.

Passengers can look forward to a variety of shore excursions, including:

  • Whale watching
  • Dog sledding on Mendenhall Glacier
  • Exploring Totem Bight Historical Park
  • Riding the Sky Peak Gondola at Icy Strait Point

Currently, MSC Poesia is undergoing significant upgrades, which include the addition of 63 luxury MSC Yacht Club suites, the Top Sail Lounge, a dedicated Yacht Club Restaurant, and a new Thermal Area at the MSC Aurea Spa. With this new venture, Seattle will become MSC Cruises’ fifth U.S. homeport, joining Miami, Port Canaveral, New York City, and Galveston.

The season will also feature the highly coveted Panama Canal repositioning cruises, sailing between Seattle and Miami.
