Amorepacific’s Innovative ‘Electronic Skin’ Earns CES Innovation Award
South Korean beauty powerhouse, Amorepacific, has been honored with the prestigious CES 2026 Innovation Award for its revolutionary ‘electronic skin’ platform, Skinsight™. This cutting-edge technology, developed in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas from January 6-9.
Skinsight™ employs a wearable sensor patch that is applied directly to the skin. This sensor measures multiple aging factors that are influenced by both environmental exposures and lifestyle choices. The platform’s AI technology then analyzes these real-time skin-aging signals to predict aging trajectories and deliver personalized skincare solutions that are tailored to individual needs. This technology has the unique ability to track skin changes across diverse environments, offering an unprecedented level of customization in skincare routines.
In addition to this, Amorepacific showcased its AI-powered skin analysis technology that is integrated into Samsung Electronics’ AI Beauty Mirror. This system uses camera-based optical diagnostics and a massive dataset of over 450,000 cases to precisely assess skin conditions such as pore condition, redness, pigmentation, and wrinkles. The results are then incorporated into skincare solutions provided by makeON’s ONFACE LED Mask. This mask, equipped with 3,770 micro red LEDs, offers immediate improvements in skin condition.
